OUR STORY
Home Roots Lawn & Landscape was born in 2020, the same year we welcomed our first child into the world. At the time, I was serving full-time at the fire department while trying to build a small business on the side. Life was full — between long nights running EMS calls or battling fires, and long days mowing lawns or installing landscaping, I was sometimes working over 100 hours a week.
It didn’t take long to realize this pace wasn’t sustainable. I loved serving the community through the fire department and will always value those experiences, but I had already been bitten by the entrepreneurial bug. By 2021, as our family and the business both grew rapidly, I made the decision to step away from the fire department and commit fully to Home Roots. It was a leap of faith, but one made with the belief that we could better serve our clients with consistency and care.
Since then, it’s been full steam ahead. Today, with two beautiful children (+ one on the way!) and a thriving business, I feel nothing but gratitude. Grateful for the opportunity to grow a family and a business at the same time. Grateful for the trust our clients place in us. And grateful to be able to contribute to the community we love by improving and investing in it through our work as a local business.
At the heart of Home Roots Lawn & Landscape is more than just lawns and landscapes — it’s about family, faith, community, and the blessing of building something that leaves our little corner of the world better than we found it.
